While Martin Luther King Jr. was being murdered in Tennessee, Robert Kennedy was making a scheduled campaign stop in Indianapolis. He scrapped his prepared address and informed the audience, and, well, you can hear it yourself. Scroll down about a third of the way.
On the one hand, I would like to hear this from somebody other than a rich white kid from Boston. On the other hand, I was born in 1984, and the fact that I can actually listen to this speech and hear Kennedy's voice shake and people wailing in the background is sort of incredible to me.
